Over and out, Mr Metrosexual

Haven’t posted in over a week again. I swear I haven’t gone on a new hiatus. It’s just that I’ve gone through a rough week with my girl in RL, yadda yadda. You don’t really want to know.

Anyway, two more weeks until I leave this place behind :( Then one week of travelling :) And then things will be back to normal at home in Belgium like they were before February, so I should start blogging back to normal then.

I went shopping again today. And I thought, ever since Last Call quit and I got the taste during their Moderno sale, I’ve been buying all these metrosexual Vogue kind of clothes. White, flashy jackets and shirts, emo hair, etc. You know the look, standard Last Call/Muism/Armidi/Redgrave stuff. Not saying it’s a bad look. It just feels weird seeing Daman like that.

So today I figured I’d go back to my roots. And I went looking around the grid for stuff worthy to be worn in a combat zone.

I found out about the knuckle dusters on SL Men. They allow you to customise the letters shown, always a plus if you get customisable stuff as this. The animation shown in the pic is also included with these, and is called upon by a gesture. One downside is that you can only buy them through SL Exchange for now. They cost 600 L$ or 2.81 US$ … wow. That’s why I hate SL Exchange. It reminds me of how much real money I’m spending on this crap video game.

The hair is called Ruby (Black) by Black Maria. They got great punk and rock hairstyles for about 100-150 L$ per style. I got enough mohawks already though, and I don’t really like Daman with spikes. Which is why I got this one. Something different from the usual.

The tank top comes from F.A.T. Designz. From what I heard on Men’s Second Style, it seems that the designer is bringing his SL designs into RL as well. Pretty wicked. Kind of reminds me of that CSI:NY episode where the woman did her best to look just like her avatar.

Next, I visited a store I love, but hadn’t visited in ages. Tonktastic of course. Lots of nice new stuff.I thought for a moment about the Extinction Outfit, which is probably the biggest addition, but can’t afford it currently.

I did buy some headgear though. First of all a set of head scarves – one in the stars and stripes, one featuring the German flag, and a few in more traditional colours. The traditional ones also come in 2 head styles and 4 shoulder styles.

Also bought an army hat which comes in a few different styles and 8 colours. Both are for sale for fair prices. Don’t expect cheap stuff at Tonktastic, but do expect it to be very finely priced for the great quality and detail gone into it.

The pants come from Hoorenbeek. They come with prim pockets, and you get three preset lengths: Shorts, Capri and Pants. They’re copy and mod also, so you can make any additional versions you like.

Take care all, and talk to you later.
