I know I should be posting more

But I just don’t have the time to do daily or almost daily posts any longer.

Most of the time I dedicate to Second Life has been spent browsing and discussing on SL Universe Forums lately, or inworld with Rosie. I barely have any me-time in SL anymore. LOL.

Aside from that, I’ve been going past the last hurdles to graduation. It’s finally that far. Thursday it’s official and I get my diploma as a bachelor in logistic management techniques.

Lastly, I’ve been spending a lot of time on Mass Effect. Finally finished it. Storywise it’s a typical Bioware game. It ranks up there with Baldur’s Gate and Knights of the Old Republic. Bug-wise it’s also up to par for the latest creations they cooperated on. It has just as many bugs as KotOR II and NWN 2. But at least it’s playable. At least once I installed a crack and a no-overheating trainer; I managed to avoid the biggest bugs and play until the end of the game (btw – it shows what good programmers are behind the game, if software pirates have to fix the bugs for the people who actually pay for the game. Maybe next time I’ll just pay the software pirates directly instead of Bioware. For fuck’s sake)

Spoilers behind the cut. Stop reading here if you don’t want the story to be spoiled.

So the character I finished the game with was a female renegade (ME effect of the Dark Side) vanguard (a character that combines biotic abilities with combat). When it came to roleplaying I chose to have her be as bigoted as possible. The kind of person who sees aliens as lesser creatures and believes humanity should rule the universe. Of course, to make her a true bigot I also made sure she took every opportunity she could to have hot lesbian alien sex.

So anyway, I loved the ending of the game. I chose of course the option to leave the council to die (they’re the three most powerful aliens in the universe and theoretically your employers throughout the game). In that power vacuum I gave humanity the opportunity to became the one single superpower in the universe. Of course I also supported my former captain as the new leader of the human alliance. Not that stinking politician who groveled for the council and allowed them to stab me in the back.

I’ll probably wait until Bioware ever releases a patch and some DLC before I retry the game. But I definitely plan to start over some time with a male paragan (light side) infiltrator (combining combat and technology), who is more friendly towards aliens.
Anyway, humans rule! Aliens drool! Nah.
