Scorpio is in the house

Today during my shopping binge I came across The Abyss. It’s a store that had been on my list of places to visit for a while, but I’d never gotten to it yet.

Finally I made the trip. And by Oden, was it worth it. This is the first store that finally convinced me to get a new skin. You see, looking for dark skins in SL is like looking for real gangsters in a club of Suburbia wiggers. 9/10 ‘dark’ skins simply look like a white person spent too much time in a tanning salon.

The skin I ended up buying, the darkest version of Scorpio with no facial hair and all scar options, is still a little pale to my tastes now and then, but overall it comes a lot closer to a dark skin than the majority. The scars were the dealbreaker for me, I love facial scars.

A comparison of the skins under the cut.

WARNING: I’m showing topless men, by LL standards that’s not PG (see precedent of LL vs the Users of Second Life in the SL5B case).

New

Old

So, what do you think? Improvement? Step backwards? Don’t care?

  1. I like your new skin better. Love men in Abyss skin.

  2. It’s definitely very handsome on you. But you know how I feel about it already. :)

  3. The top picture is more better. Trust me

  4. I love the scar through the eyebrow. And it’s a much better dark tone. Keep the new skin!

  5. The new skin looks great! Definitely an improvement over the old one ;)
